Ginger is originally from a small town in Arkansas, and has been working with animals for over 20 years. She started out as a volunteer at a small animal and exotic veterinary practice at the age of 13, and stayed on as an employee for over 10 years.
She graduated from the University of Arkansas, Fort Smith with a bachelor’s degree in history.
In 2015 Ginger and her husband, Scott, relocated their family from Arkansas to Texas for Scott’s job. They wanted their two little boys to grow up with the values and experiences that farm life would provide, so they purchased a small farm outside of Leonard, TX. Here they began raising Nigerian Dwarf goats, and are now up to 18 goats who are all named after Disney characters.
They also have 3 Great Pyrenees, Olaf, Bingo, and Stitch, an Australian Shepherd, Tink, a retired racehorse named Bo, and 2 rescue cats, Highway and Pete.
Ginger joined the team at Leonard Animal Clinic in 2017, shortly after taking Olaf to the clinic for his first set of puppy shots.

Kennel Tech + Tech Assistant
Bree is a graduate of Celeste High School and has been employed at Leonard Animal Clinic (LAC) for one year. Bree’s splits her time between being a kennel technician and a tech assistant. She has a special ability to calm nervous animals who visit the clinic. In order to continue working with animals, Bree aims to become a registered veterinary technician.
At home, Bree has four dogs, all of which are rescues. One in particular, Lennie the blue healer, is very special to the staff at Leonard Animal Clinic due to her history. Lennie was brought to the clinic by a previous owner with a paw that was missing and a broken leg. Rather than put her down, Bree decided to adopt and give her a great new home. Thanks to Dr. Stanislav and Dr. Smith, Lennie is now a tripod who has become the unofficial mascot for LAC.
In her spare time, Bree spends time on her family’s property taking care of the farm animals and enjoys spending time with her family.

Mercadis and Aubreigh have recently acquired a fur baby, a yorki-poo name Marlin. Marlin is, of course, a patient at Leonard Animal Clinic as Mercadis would not trust anyone other than Dr. Smith or Dr. Stanislav to look after him.
Riding a camel through a foreign desert, visiting Japan and getting a “bamboo tattoo” in Thailand are part of Mercadis’ bucket list.
